mops - Mothers Of Preschoolers
The purpose of MOPS is to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. MOPS communicates a message of hope and creates an atmosphere of supportive relationships that moms need to survive a world of constant change. We do this through guest speakers, discussion groups, crafts and great food. MOPS is offered from October through May with childcare (newborn - kindergarten) by registration only.
Our theme for 2012-2013 is:
Plunge: Love as if your life depended on it!
The emphasis is relationships and hope; focusing on all different types of relationships and equipping moms to be relationally healthy and thriving - neighborhood, friendships, marriages, extended families, the world around us and ultimately relationship with God.
1 Peter 4:8-11 (NIV) "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
MOPS meets October through May on the 1st & 3rd Thursday, 9:15-11:15am Rm 321 Family Life Center

What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom: urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms ... moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
