The Spring Tea is an annual event held at the Grace Church Family Life Center. It features a traditional tea with tea, scones, tea sandwiches, fruit and dessert. A highlight is the wonderful variety of table settings created by the table Hostesses – from elegant and traditional, to modern and playful.
This is a morning for women to dress up and come together to connect and have fun. This year our Spring Tea features Denise Bower as our Guest Speaker (see info on her below). This event is recommended for girls age 10 and up. Invite your mom, sisters , friends and neighbors!

Denise Bower with GenderSave will be sharing about her outreach to destitute mothers, babies, and children in India.
Denise Bower’s passion for Christ began her missions outreach journey in the 10/40 Window nation of India. Her love for rescuing the destitute and dying children began in the village of Seoni, North India, where she rescued four orphans who were being abused and starving on the streets. Immediately there was a need for a children’s home. Two weeks later, in January 1988, she started Harvest Children’s Home. Today it houses and cares for 55 children, mostly girls, rescued from starvation and sex traffickers. Her quest to rescue and help the children continued. She helped start two more Children’s Centers in North India, where the children are given shelter, food, clothing, and education at no cost.
She is also actively engaged in educating the poor through school ministry outreach. In 2004, the love of Christ led Denise to bring relief of food, clothing, and shelter to the survivors of the tsunami. Denise again found favor with the people as they opened their hearts to hear the gospel of Jesus. 85 families received Christ during the first year. After much prayer and preparation, the Lord helped her start a new school for the poor children of the tsunami fishing community. In 2008, the new school building was purchased and nearly 540 students are currently receiving a free education. GenderSave is Denise’s newest endeavor to reach India’s children. She currently resides in the Michiana area with her husband, Noah, and their children.
