Vision
To be an Acts 2:42 fellowship of believers
And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Values
Value 1 : Passion for Lost People
Scripture: Luke 5:30-32; I Cor. 9:19-23
We value lost people - those who do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This includes those in our own community as well as those globally. We will do whatever we can within Scriptural bounds to reach the lost with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Value 2: Bible Saturation
Scripture: Colossians 3:16
We value the Bible. There is purpose behind the word “saturation”. We don’t want to be simply Bible “based”. In other words, the Bible isn’t just something we consult on occasion or use as a prop. A church that is Bible-saturated not only consults the Bible but is saturated and permeated with God’s Truth.
Value 3: Prayer
Scripture: Eph. 6:18; 2 Chron. 7:14
We value prayer. It’s one thing to say we value prayer and quite another to practice the discipline of prayer. Prayer as a value insists that it is a part of all we do. It is a part of our meetings. It is a part of our community. It is a ministry we engage in with those in need. It is a life practice expected of our leadership and members.
Value 4: Spiritual Growth
Scripture: Colossians 1:28
We value spiritual growth or “progress”. Spiritual growth implies “movement”. We want people to have an encounter with God, His Truth, and His Son so that they can experience a change which leads to maturity. We want anyone who walks through the doors of our church to be able to plug into a process leading them to maturity.
Value 5: Relationships
Scripture: Acts 2:42-47
We value relationships. The word “relationship” implies “fellowship”. We want to do life together as a church body and connect beyond the casual and superficial. We want a community of passionate worshipers who understand and practice relationship.
Value 6: Multiplication of Servant-Leaders
Scripture: Matt. 20:25-28; 2 Tim. 2:1-2
We value leaders who multiply leaders. In other words, we value not just leaders who can lead, but who can also develop others to lead as well. The heart of this type of leader needs to be characterized by the word “servant” which implies humility, teachability, and an “others first” approach.
